Eco Buggy Tour of LAKE George Forest
Tuesday, January 20, 9 - 11am | near Pierson, FL
Join Explore Volusia Environmental Specialist Tommy Nordmann for an eco-buggy tour of Lake George Forest and Wildlife Management Area. Enjoy a comfortable ride on the covered eco-buggy as we learn about recreation opportunities, habitat restoration and management practices on this lessor known property.
The Lake George area has the second largest population of bald eagles in the lower 48 states! There will be short birding walks, so in addition to eagles, we’ll be on the lookout for wading birds, songbirds, and other raptors.
Meet at 8:30am at 998 Ninemile Point Road, Pierson. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Wear closed-toe shoes. Free.
Space is limited to 16 participants. Registration will close when full. Advance registration is required by January 18. Registrants will receive an email prior to the trip with directions and other details. There is no fee for this trip.
